Even if you jog four miles, you still probably will not burn off all those calories you just consumed. Not Counting Your Liquid Calories
Liquid calories might not be as filling as actual food, but they can still pack on the pounds. For example, according to Calorie King, there are 90 calories in one can of coca-cola. If you drink several cans a day, those calories will really add up. Save yourself all those calories by drinking water. Water does not contain any calories and can prevent you from overeating.
Breakfast is truly the most important meal of the day, and skipping it can interfere with your weight loss goals. A hearty breakfast will fill you up and prevent you from overeating during lunch. If you don't have enough time to prepare a big breakfast, at least eat something small, like whole wheat toast with peanut butter and a banana.
Cutting Calories Too Low
When you aren't seeing results as quickly as you want, you may be tempted to cut your calories even lower. This plan can backfire and slow down your metabolism, making your weight loss goals even harder to achieve. According to Everyday Health, you should never eat fewer than 1,200 calories a day. If you are very active, you might need a few hundred extra calories a day.
